Joshua Davila

Hey, my name is Joshua Davila and I'm a Blockchain Solutions Architect, consultant and writer based in Brussels and Paris. I'm interested in exploring alternative economic models through the use of decentralised technologies. I like to talk about blockchain, politics, and decentralised organisation. I'm currently writing a book on blockchain and cooperatives with Repeater Books based in the UK.

Publications

My writing interests include blockchain, p2p technology, cooperatives, heterodox economics, neuroscience, and healthcare systems. I've published articles through Deloitte as well as dGen, a crypto think tank based in Berlin on the topic of blockchain. If you'd like to reach me with an idea for an article, you can reach me by email. I accept fiat and crypto as payment.

About

I graduated from Emory University in Atlanta, GA with a major in Neuroscience and Behavioral Biology and a minor in Anthropology in 2016. Originally from the US, but with Italian dual citizenship, I'm currently based in Brussels after working a couple of years at a biotechnology startup (Atlanta) and a market research company (NYC). I arrived in Brussels at the start of 2018 and worked at Deloitte Belgium as a strategy consultant and co-lead of the blockchain team for 3 years. I currently work at SettleMint, a blockchain startup based in Belgium as a Solutions Architect. I have worked with major companies and government institutions to explore how they can leverage blockchain into their existing products and services. I've most recently been interested in the intersection of blockchain and decentralised organisations like DAOs and cooperatives.
